Community Is Home

Our Uniform Changeover!

In 1978 Red Hill School opened it’s doors to students for the first time. On Friday 17th August we came together for the first big change as we head towards our new school opening in 2019. Our uniform branding change.

Before we unveiled the new uniform we took the opportunity to formally thank our very special and generous donor on behalf of our community. This is a donation that has far reaching positive outcomes for us and will impact greatly on our community. Our children will be warm in Winter, Cool in Summer and Super Smart Looking wherever they may be.

This is the very first time this has been done for any school - we are a very spoilt community and one that is poised for continued ongoing positive change.

It is truly time to celebrate.

We have now moved into a red and navy blue uniform.  Here it is.

We have also had a logo change. This change has come from the feedback provided by the community, the students and the staff. The logo and colours have been well thought out to represent our shared vision for Red Hill School.

It is strong and symbolic of the vision we have developed for Redhill School. The circular frame represents community and the idea that life is meant to be done together. The inner koru shape represents new life, progress and potential. The frond coming out from the koru and wrapping around the circle represents hope and a new day which encourages growth reaching up and aspiring to greatness.

At the bottom is a subtle path which represents life's journey and the skills learned at Redhill that will help and shape the path into a successful one.

The colours have been chosen to reflect key natural landmarks and spaces within our Red Hill Community -

  • The green - Pukekiwiriki Pa, The Children’s Forest, Margans Bush.

  • The blue - The Hunua Ranges.

  • The purple, black and green - Birdlife that visit the school - Kereru, Tui’s.

  • The grey - the pathway to grow.
